Verto HR provides specialist HR, training and sourcing solutions to the residential property management industry. Together with our clients, we manage the full spectrum of site staffing from a single caretaker to an expansive, multi skilled team for some of the UK’s largest residential developments.

We are currently seeking a HR Manager to work on a fixed term contract, covering Maternity leave, from February 2024 for 14 months.

Job Details:

  • Start Date: February 2024
  • Salary: up to £50,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
  • Location: Oxford Circus, London (hybrid working, minimum 2 days per week in the office)
  • Hours of Duty: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5.30pm

Main Purpose of Job

As the Group HR Manager, you will be responsible for advising your colleagues on a day to day HR issues that affect their staff, and assist them in giving both timely and legally correct advice to our clients.

You will be assisted in your role by a HR Assistant, and two HR Apprentices, who will be responsible for much of the day to day admin in the team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear and accurate advice on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievances and performance management
  • Manage any key projects and business initiatives as and when required, such as changes linked to terms and conditions, restructures and TUPE
  • Coach and support line managers on their teams career development, performance and progress
  • Implement and manage HR initiatives such as employee benefits, employee wellbeing, and liaising with our people provider companies
  • Support and assist with implementing development and training programmes
  • Improving and updating company policies and procedures inline with legislation changes
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of HR systems and practises in the organisation
  • To support and advise the Managing Director and Director of Operations on any issues affecting internal staff, their training and development
  • Keep up to date with best practices, personal development and legislation

Person Specification

  • Assoc CIPD qualified (minimum)
  • Several years HR experience, with proven track record of good employee relations
  • Extensive experience deailing with TUPE and restructures/redundancies
  • Team management experience
  • Self-assured and confident
  • Honest and Reliable
  • Works well under pressure
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professional appearance
  • Outstanding work ethic, time keeping and organisational skills
